PLANNING SUBMISSION FOR 250 DWELLINGS AT NASH ROAD / MANSTON ROAD

20th February 2017
News

Earlier this month, Hume Planning submitted a planning application for 250 dwellings at Nash Road/Manston Road, Margate on a greenfield site.

Hume Planning has also been involved in the promotion of this site through the emerging local plan process, which has successfully resulted in the allocation of the site for housing.  Hume Planning assembled and project managed the team, addressing issues including archaeology, surface water drainage, landscape, heritage.  transport modelling, and the provision of a link to bypass the Coffin Corner traffic lights was a central part of the preparation of the application.  Pre-application engagement with KCC Education and the St. Gregory’s Primary School was also very important to resolve local traffic issues, so that drop off and new access points to the school could improve peak congestion at pupil collection times.

The application is expected to be considered by the Thanet Planning Committee this Spring.
