STUDENT ACCOMMODATION BOOSTED IN CANTERBURY

22nd May 2017
News

Hume Planning has secured permission for the provision of additional communal facilities on behalf of Empiric Student Property, at their Pavilion Court site in Canterbury.

The proposed outbuilding will house a communal lounge area, reception and gym within the existing central courtyard, for exclusive use by the existing students at the site. It was envisioned to create an ‘all-season’ meeting place and improved facilities on-site, which are currently unavailable to students, necessitating trips further afield.

Working alongside the architects and the client, Hume Planning assisted in submitting a high-quality proposal to the Council, and established the benefits of the proposal in supporting self-sufficient and compact student accommodation.
