SPRING UPDATE (Community and Sports Focus)

Hume Planning Consultancy has been recently working to secure planning permission for a wide range of clients which benefit their communities.

As well as a local community workspace and meeting place created for a regeneration company in Ramsgate, we have worked with a local grammar school,  Sir Roger Manwood’s in Sandwich  to enhance  educational and sporting facilities (the new Astroturf pitch will be opened this month). Other community projects include the creation of a “Beacon” funded by the Attwood family and supported by Wye Parish Council which will be ready to be lit for the Kings Coronation/ D Day anniversary in June.

As avid supporters of the value of sport for communities we are also currently working with Royal St Georges Golf Club to help deliver further enhancements to their world renowned golf facilities. It is not all about support for mainstream sports either…Padel is the latest sport we want to help grow and we are working with REWD to deliver 3 padel courts near Westwood, which will be the first in East Kent.

As a building block of the community is new families we are proud to be supporting the successful Chapel House wedding near Minster which this week was awarded the Best Event Venue in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2024 . Hume Planning helped secure the original permission around the central listed building and extensive grounds and continue to support the companies investment plans and further growth of this attractive venue.
