SPRING UPDATE

Cherry Grader, Hempstead Farm: Hume Planning has worked on behalf of G H Dean & Co Ltd to secure a variation of condition attached to an existing fruit package building at Hempstead farm to remove the Kent restriction and allow cherries sourced from outside Kent to be graded in the building. Following the submission of robust evidence relating to highway movements, an independent Appeal Inspector has allowed the appeal for the variation of condition at the site which will enable the sustainable growth and expansion of an agricultural business in the rural area, whilst ensuring that this would not cause an unacceptable impact on the living conditions of the occupiers of nearby residential properties.

Brogdale Farm, Faversham: With the input of the specialist lighting experts, Hume Planning have secured planning permission for a replacement lighting scheme at the farm complex, which will provide energy efficiency and environmental, health & safety and security benefits for both users and visitors to the Farm.

Sandown Road, Deal: Following negotiations with officers at Dover District Council, Hume Planning successful secured planning permission for the transformation of a bungalow to a two storey, contemporary dwelling close to Deal seafront. The client’s ambitions for a modern, energy efficient home at the site are now in motion.

Hoods Place, Kingston: Hume Planning successfully secured permission for the erection of a large detached family dwelling within a Conservation Area in the village of Kingston.
