60 Village Homes Approved As Part of Iwade Strategic Allocation
Hume Planning Consultancy are pleased to have secured a resolution to grant outline permission for 60 dwellings, following a successful evening at Planning Committee at the start of this year.
The site is part of a strategic allocation to the north of Iwade village within the adopted Swale Local Plan. The site therefore forms an important part of the boroughs planned land supply and will deliver the final piece of the Iwade allocation.
The permission will bring the long-standing outline application with Swale Borough Council to a successful end, which had previously stalled prior to our involvement, within which we subsequently helped to push the application forwards toward determination.
It is proposed that approximately 50% of the overall site area is to be reserved for open space and ecological habitats, including the retention of ponds and new planting. This will provide biodiversity enhancements, amenity space for residents and a landscaped setting to the northern edge of Iwade for the benefit of the wider community.
