Game On: New Padel Tennis Facility Approved at Westwood Cross

Hume Planning Consultancy are pleased to have secured delegated approval for a new padel tennis facility off New Haine Road, Westwood Cross retail area. The proposal will see the installation of three padel tennis courts, contained within a canopy, alongside a clubhouse.

Padel Tennis is a sport that has been rapidly increasing in popularity in the UK in recent years. The permission therefore supports the development of a new and growing sport, encouraging healthy and active lifestyles in the Thanet District. As part of the on-going negotiations with the case officer, Hume Planning Consultancy successfully justified the proposed sporting and leisure use as contributing towards the flexible employment allocation at Eurokent Business Park within the Local Plan.
