“Hole in one” for new investment in replacement greenkeeping facility at Royal St George's Golf Club.
Hume Planning Consultancy has successfully coordinated the consultancy team and led negotiations with the LPA resulting in permission for the development of a replacement “state of the art” greenkeeping facility at the Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich.
The new enlarged greenkeeping facility, that was relocated within the course from its central position close to the clubhouse will ensure that the Golf Club's greenkeeping team are provided with the best possible facilities to continue to provide first class playing services in the future. The facility will include additional storage space, maintenance areas and welfare facilities for greenkeeping machinery and staff. The new facility will be built on a dedicated site adjacent to the Golf Course, allowing for improved greenkeeping accessibility to the course without disturbance to the clubhouse and shop. Hume Planning hope this significant investment which will facilitate further improvements in course conditions and club operations will assist in contributing to an early return of the Open Championship and the worldwide sporting spotlight on Sandwich alongside the regional economic benefits secured when the RSG is hosting.
“Wave of Wellness”: New Spa and Gym Facilities at Wakeboarding & Aqua Park
Planning permission has been granted for the development of new spa and gym facilities at an established regional wakeboarding & aqua park in Sandwich, ( which Hume Planning also secured approval for) marking a positive investment in local leisure and wellbeing provision. The approved scheme will deliver purpose-built wellness amenities designed to enhance the overall visitor experience, supporting both active recreation and relaxation.
Hume Planning wish Whitemills Wakeboarding Centre which is now a regional attraction continued success and the spa and gym will serve to support the facility by widening the services to customers and increase its attractiveness to national and regional events.
Timely Football Club Boost before World Cup kicks off !
Canterbury City Council have approved temporary containers and grass grid surfacing to allow for storage on site as well as safe access for all players enhancing the safety of all players at Barham FC to continue playing football within their local village. Hume Planning led negotiations with Canterbury City Council to ensure the football club were supported in their aspirations to improve facilities serving this thriving local club which also involved the diversion of an existing public right of way. Hume Planning are proud to have played a small part in helping sport and fitness, teamwork and community pride in their youth development and love for the “beautiful game.”
