Planning successes for local businesses

Hume Planning Consultancy has recently secured planning permission for a wide range of clients which benefit community assets and supports the local economy.

Recently receiving successful outcomes within Folkestone and Hythe, Hume Planning have supported the conversion of an existing under-utilised property within the heart of Folkestone town centre for a conversion to three residential units. This followed pre-application engagement which the permitted scheme responded to positively in order to satisfy the LPA’s feedback.

Also, within the Folkestone and Hythe District, the conversion from a residential unit to a guest house provided a successful outcome for the Kings Arms Public House in Elham. The 5-bedroom guest house adjoins The Kings Arms in, providing holiday accommodation within the small village of Elham.

Further expansion at District Park, Manston Road in Thanet has been agreed for the erection of 2 industrial workshop buildings a storage building along with an office building and associated store building. These changes to the previously consented scheme directly reflect the requirements of the decorating company who are eager to set up their company in this established employment location. Hume Planning Consultancy are pleased to have supported local business expansion within Thanet, whilst contributing to the already established employment zone at District Park.
