“Green light” to village edge housing at Monkton ( 49 dwellings) after negotiation with LPA
Hume Planning Consultancy are pleased to have secured approval for 49 dwellings, including 15 affordable dwellings, on former farmland at the edge of Monkton village. The scheme was carefully prepared to respond to a number of technical constraints, with the layout designed to assimilate the proposed housing within the village whilst responding positively to the settlements existing character. The approved layout incorporates a mix of housing types ranging from 2-bedroom to 5-bedroom dwellings, finished in a mixture of brickwork, weatherboarding and render. This delegated approval was secured after a period of successful and helpful negotiations with LPA Officer’s at Thanet District Council.
